Dr. Matthew & Dr. Meredith McCracken
Dr. Matt and Dr. Meredith McCracken are both Tuscaloosa natives, graduating from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1992 and from the University of Alabama in 1997. Both received their Bachelor of Science degree in biology and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2002. They have been in general practice together since 2002. Matt and Meredith have four kids, two sets of twins: Maxwell and Matthew, and Mitchell and Mary Elizabeth. The family are members of the First Methodist Church.
They have many pets. Dogs: Johnny, June, and Jolene; Cats: Dolly, Minnie Pearl, Emme Lou, Kenny, Waylon, Patsy, and Fatty Cat; Pacman frog: Jamal; and Gecko: Rango.
Matthew R. McCracken, DMD
Dr. Matt has been in practice for 21 years. When he is not taking great care of his patient's dental needs, he enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family. Fun Fact: He can ride a unicycle!
Meredith C. McCracken, DMD
Dr. Meredith has been in practice for 21 years. When she is not providing quality dental care, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading. Fun fact: she once extracted a tooth from a baboon!
Amy Davis-Business Director
Amy has been in dentistry for 21 years and this location for 11 years. She has two children, Sawyer and Sidney. When she is not dedicating her time to the practice, she is a full-time student working towards her degree in forensic and clinical psychology and active in her community. She is also a recent breast cancer survivor. She and her husband, Matthew, have two cats, Rosey and Daisy (aka Bug). She enjoys learning, makeup, sewing, and travel.
Donnia Albright-Dental Hygienist
Donnia has been in dentistry for 26 years. She has two children, Christopher and Autumn. She has been married to her husband, David, for 35 years. Donnia is not only the office manager, she is also a dental hygienist. When she is not greeting patients and helping people, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren Maddox and Marion.
Katherine Colburn-Dental Assistant
Katherine has been in dentistry for over four years. She and her husband, Garrett, have two boys, Noah Brooks and Liam Banks. When she is not assisting the doctors, she is shopping (aka spending her husband’s money). One thing about Katherine is that she cannot go without her coffee, mascara, or earrings.
Sherry Wright-Dental Hygienist
Sherry has been in dentistry for 45 years. She and her husband, Bill, have two children, Wesley and Rochelle. She also has a black lab named Satchmo. When she is not practicing her love of dentistry, she enjoys playing with her eight grandkids, reading, and studying the bible. She loves history and caring for teeth because they are such an amazing gift from God.
Anja LaFoy-Dental Hygienist
Anja has been a hygienist since 2007 and at this location for the past 12 years. She is originally from Germany but has been in the U.S. for the past 20 years. She resides in Moundville with her husband, Eric, and her two daughters Emily and Lily. She has two dogs, Bear and Saban. Anja enjoys gardening, playing the piano, and going to the gym.
Angela Long-Dental Hygienist
Angela has been a hygienist since 2016. When she isn’t cleaning teeth, you can find her assisting the doctors. She is a native of Fayette and currently resides in Tuscaloosa with her husband, Reg, and her son Trey. She has two dogs, Reese and Regin. She loves making crafts, going to the beach, and visiting her daughter, Alaina, who attends college in Troy.
Sonya Ray-Dental Hygienist
Sonya has been in dentistry for 27 years. She and her husband, Wesley, have two children and one son-in-law that she considers hers, Brayson and Leah Mullenix, and Luke. When she is not cleaning teeth, she loves cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. Sonya is also an avid Bama fan and loves watching the Tide play football.
Nita Cleveland-Dental Assistant
Nita has been assisting Dr. Matt since 2004. She recently got three pet fish named Milo, Two, and Three Pete. When she is not assisting the doctors, she enjoys gardening.
